The first night was quite an experience. It was raining heavily. Immediately after breakfast, we set out on a journey with a plan to cover 124 miles.
In an hour we traveled 11 miles. On our way, apart from beautiful views, we also saw kangaroos and flocks of parrots.
After 3.5 hours of driving we managed to cover 48 miles moving through virgin plains of Australia. We encountered many dried river beds and esome palm trees. Despite the terrible amount of dust, it was still wonderful.
We arrived at the destination set for this day but unfortunately it was not without problems. The sounds coming from one of the cars were very disturbing.
The next day we fixed the car and hit the road. After 3 hours (and over 40 miles) we stopped for dinner and another repair. This land is ruthless for car suspension. However the beautiful views are sufficient compensation for all the difficulties. We have entered a complete wasteland. The only living creatures we met that day was one bird and a lizard. It was the last place where we would expect control by Aborigens! Fortunately, we had all the documents with us.
We ended the day with a camp by the Lake Durba Springs amidst incredibly fragrant eucalyptus trees. In the morning we looked around and actually saw where we are. On both sides of our camp there were red rocks – breathtakingly beautiful place.
